Jesus Cures a Leper
(Vas 1-4)

1. Wẹ́n Jízọs kọ́m daún frọm di maúntin, plẹ́ntí plẹ́ntí pípul fọ́ló Am.
1. When Jesus came down from the mountain, a large crowd of people followed Him.
2. Naím wọ́n lẹ́pa kọ́m mít Jízọs. Di man níl daún fọ Jízọs frọnt kọ́n sé, “Ọgá, íf Yu wán dú am, Yu fít kiọ́ mi mék a bikọ́m klin.”
2. Then a man with leprosy came to Jesus. The man bowed down before Jesus and said, “Lord, if You want to do it, You can heal me and make me clean.”
3. Naím Jízọs strẹ́ch Im hand kọmọt kọ́n tọ́ch di man an sé, “Yẹs, A wán kiọ́ yu. So mék yu wẹl an bikọ́m klin!” Naím di lẹ́pá síknẹs lív di man atwọns.
3. Jesus stretched out His hand, touched the man and said, “Yes, I want to heal you. Be healed and become clean!” Immediately, the man was healed of the leprosy.

4. Then Jesus told him, “Make sure that you do not tell anyone what happened. But go and show yourself to the priest so that he can examine you very well. Then give the gift that Moses commanded people who are made well to give. That will be proof to everyone that you are healed.”

Jesus Heals a Roman Army Officer’s Servant

5. Wẹ́n Jízọs ẹ́ntá di taun wé im nem na Kapániọm, wọ́n Rómán ámí ọ́físa kọ́m mít Am an bẹ́g Am mék I hẹ́lẹ́p am.
5. When Jesus came into the town of Capernaum, a Roman army officer came up to Him and earnestly pleaded to Him for help.
6. Di ámí ọ́físa sé, “Ọgá, mai sávant nọ́ wẹl an i lai daún fọ haus. I nọ́ fít múv im bọdí sámsám an im bọdí de pén am wẹ́l wẹl.
6. The army officer said, “Lord, my servant is sick and laying in bed at home. He can’t move his body at all, and he is suffering terribly from pain.
7. Naím Jízọs tẹ́l di ámí ọ́físa, “A go kọ́m kiọ́ am.”
7. Jesus said to the army officer, “I will come and heal him.”
8. Bọt di ámí ọ́físa ánsa sé, “Ọgá, a nọ́ bíg rích di kaín wọn wé Yu go ẹ́ntá mai haus. Bọt mék Yu jọ́s tọ́k di wọd, an mai sávant go wẹl.
8. But the army officer answered, “Lord, I am not worthy for You to come into my house. But just speak the word, and my servant will be healed.
9. A sabí dis sékọf sé, mi tuu bi man wé gẹ́t bíg-ọgá-dẹm wé a dé ọ́ndá dẹm. An a gẹ́t sója-dẹm wé dé ọ́ndá mi. Íf a tẹ́l wọ́n ọf di sója-dẹm, ‘Gò!’ i go gò. An íf a tẹ́l anọ́dá wọn, ‘Kọm!’ i go kọm. An íf a tẹ́l mai slev, ‘Dú dis!’ i go dú am.”
9. I know this because I too am a man under the authority of superior officers. And I have soldiers who are under my authority. If I tell one of the soldiers, ‘Go!’ he goes. And if I tell another one, ‘Come!’ he comes. And if I tell my servant, ‘Do this!’ he does it.”

10. When Jesus heard what the army officer said, He was amazed. Then Jesus said to the people who were following Him, “I tell you the truth that even in Israel, I have never found anyone who puts his faith in God like this.
11. A de tẹ́l una sé, wẹ́n Gọd shó ẹ́vríbọ́di sé I de rúl as King, méní pípul go kọ́m frọm ist an wẹst. Dẹm go fọ́ló Ébraham an Aízik an Jékọp sidọ́n togẹ́da de chọp.
11. And I say to you, when God shows everybody that He rules as King, many people will come from the east and the west. They will sit down and eat together with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
12. Bọt na aúsaid fọ wiá dáknẹs dè, naím Gọd go trowé di pípul wé sọpóz to bi pípul wé Gọd de rúl as King. Na ínsaíd dát dáknẹs dẹm go de krai an graínd dẹm tit.”
12. But into outer darkness, God will throw out the people who should have been those He rules as King. In that darkness, they will cry and grind their teeth.”
13. Naím Jízọs tẹ́l di ámí ọ́físa sé, “Mék yu gó hom. Gọd go kiọ́ yọ sávant jọ́s as yu bílív sé I go kiọ́ am.” Fọ dát taim gọọ́n, di ámí ọ́físa im sávant kọ́n wẹl.
13. Then Jesus said to the army officer, “Go home. God will heal your servant just as you believe that He will heal him.” At that very time, the army officer’s servant was healed.

Jesus Heals Many Sick People
(Vas 14-17)

14. Wẹ́n Jízọs kọ́m ínsaíd Píta haus, I sí sé Píta waif mamá nọ́ wẹl. Di wúman lai daún fọ bẹd sékọf sé fíva hól am.
14. When Jesus went into Peter’s house, He saw that Peter’s mother-in-law was sick. She was lying in bed sick with a fever.
15. Naím Jízọs tọ́ch im hand, an di fíva lív am. Dẹn i gẹ́t ọp kọ́n stát to sáv Jízọs fud.
15. Jesus touched her hand and the fever left her. She then got up and served Jesus food.
16. Wẹ́n ívnin rich, pípul kọ́n bríng to Jízọs plẹ́ntí pípul wé bád spírit-dẹm hol. Jízọs tọ́k wọ́n wọd fọ ték draív di bád spírit-dẹm kọmọ́t frọm ínsaíd di pípul. An I kiọ́ ọ́l di pípul wé nọ́ wẹl.
16. When evening came, some people brought to Jesus many people who were possessed by evil spirits. Jesus spoke one word and drove out the evil spirits from inside the people. And He healed all the people who were sick.
17. Jízọs bin dú dis fọ ték mék wétín Prọfẹt Aizáya tọk mék i bi tru. Prọfẹt Aizáya sé, “I rimúv ọ́l awa síknẹs an kárí ọ́l awa diziz kọmọt.”
17. Jesus did this to fulfill what Prophet Isaiah said. Prophet Isaiah said, “He took away all of our sicknesses and carried away all our diseases.”

Two People Who Said They Would Follow Jesus

18. Wẹ́n Jízọs sí plẹ́ntí pípul wé gádá raúnd Am, naím I kọ́n kọ́mánd di pípul wé de fọ́ló Im wè mék Ím an dẹm krọ́s gó di ọ́dá saíd ọf di bíg-díp-wọtá wé dẹm de kọ́l ‘Lek Gálíli’.
18. When Jesus saw a large crowd of people that gathered around Him, He gave orders to His disciples for Him and them to go to the other side of Lake Galilee.
19. Dẹn wọ́n tícha wé de tích Gọd Lọ kọ́m mít Jízọs tẹ́l Am sé, “Tícha, a go fọ́ló Yú gó ẹ́vríwia wé Yu de gò.”
19. Then one teacher of God’s Law came to Jesus and said to Him, “Teacher, I will follow You everywhere You go.”
20. Bọt Jízọs tẹ́l am sé, “Búsh-dọg-dẹm wé dẹm de kọ́l ‘fọks’ gẹ́t hol wiá dẹm de liv. Bẹd-dẹm wé de flaí fọ ọp gẹ́t dẹm ón haus. Bọt Mi, wé bi Húmánbin Pikin nọ́ gẹ́t wiá A go pút Mai hẹd an rẹst.”
20. But Jesus said to him, “Foxes have holes where they live. Birds that fly in the air have their own nests. But Me, who is the Son of Man have nowhere to lay My head and rest.”
21. Naím anọ́dá man wé bi wọ́n ọf di pípul wé de fọ́ló Jízọs Im wè kọ́n tẹ́l Am sé, “Ọgá, mék Yu alaú mi mék a fẹ́st gó bẹ́rí mai papá.”
21. Then another man who was one of Jesus’ disciples said to Him, “Lord, please allow me to first go and bury my father.”
22. Bọt Jízọs ánsá am sé, “Mék yu fọ́ló Mi, an lív pípul wé dọ́n dai mék dẹm bẹ́rí dẹm ón pípul wé dọ́n dai.”
22. But Jesus answered him, “Follow Me, and let the people who are dead bury their own dead people.”

Jesus Stops a Great Storm

23. Dẹn Jízọs ẹ́ntá wọ́n bot, an di pípul wé de fọ́ló Im wè bin fọ́ló Am ẹ́nta.
23. Then Jesus entered a boat, and His disciples went with Him.
24. Naím wọ́n strọ́ng wind kọ́n stát atwọns to bló fọ Lek Gálíli. Di wind strọ́ng wẹ́l wẹl wé mék am kárí wọtá kọ́n stát to fúl ínsaíd di bot. Bọt Jízọs de slip.
24. Then suddenly, a very strong storm rose up on Lake Galilee. The storm was so strong that water started to fill the inside of the boat. But Jesus was asleep.
25. Naím di pípul wé de fọ́ló Jízọs Im wè kọ́n gó wék Am ọp, an dẹm sé, “Ọgá, mék Yu sév ọs! Na dai wi de daí so!”
25. So Jesus’ disciples went to Him, woke Him up and said, “Lord, save us! We are about to die!”
26. Bọt Jízọs ánsá dẹm sé, “Na wétín mék una de fiá laik dat? Di trọst wé una trọ́st Gọd dé smọl wẹ́l wẹl!” Naím Jízọs gẹ́t ọp kọ́n hálá di wind an di bíg-díp-wọtá. An ẹ́vrítin kọ́n dé kwáyẹt wẹ́l wẹl agen.
26. But Jesus answered them, “Why are you so afraid? The faith you have in God is very little!” Then Jesus got up and gave a command to the wind and the lake. And everything became calm.
27. Di mẹn wé dé wit Am sọpraíz wẹ́l wẹl. Dẹm kọ́n de áks, “Wích kaín Man bi dis? Ívún wind an wọtá de dú wétín I tọk!”
27. The men who were with Him were amazed. They said, “What kind of Man is this? Even the wind and the lake obey Him!”
Jízọs Draív Bád Spírit-dẹm Kọmọ́t frọm Ínsaíd Tuú Mẹn
Jesus Casts Out Evil Spirits from Two Men
(Vas 28-34)

28. Wẹ́n Jízọs rích di ọ́dá saíd ọf Lek Gálíli, fọ di éria wiá Gadárá pípul de liv, tuú mẹn wé bád spírit-dẹm hol kọ́m mít Am. Di mẹn kọmọ́t frọm bẹrial graun. Dẹm dé dénjárọs wẹ́l wẹl wé mék nóbọ́di fít pás dát rod.
28. When Jesus reached the other side of Lake Galilee, in the region where the Gadarene people lived, two men possessed by evil spirits came to Him. The men came out from a burial ground. They were so dangerous that nobody was able to travel that road.
29. Di mẹn kọ́n stát atwọns de shaút, “Gọd Pikin, na wích bíznẹs wí an Yu gẹt? Abí Yu dọ́n kọ́m hia mék Yu pọ́nísh ọs wẹ́n taim nẹ́vá rich?”
29. At once the men started to shout, “Son of God, what business do You have with us? Have You come here to torment us before the right time?”

30. Not too far from the place where they were, a large herd of pigs were eating.
31. Naím di bád spírit-dẹm kọ́n bẹ́g Jízọs. Dẹm sé, “Íf Yu draív ọ́s kọmọt, mék Yu sẹ́n ọ́s gó ínsaíd di pig-dẹm.”
31. So the evil spirits begged Jesus saying, “If You cast us out, please send us into the herd of pigs.”
32. So Jízọs tẹ́l dẹm sé, “Ọ́yá, mék uná gò!” Naím di bád spírit-dẹm kọmọ́t frọm ínsaíd di tuú mẹn kọ́n ẹ́ntá ínsaíd di pig-dẹm. An dẹn ọ́l di pig-dẹm ték spid rọ́sh gó daún di hil kọ́n ẹ́ntá ínsaíd Lek Gálíli an dẹm daí ínsaíd di wọtá.
32. And then Jesus said to them, “Go!” So the evil spirits came out of the two men and entered the herd of pigs. And then all the pigs speedily rushed down the steep hill and went into Lake Galilee. And all the pigs drowned in the water.

33. The people who were taking care of the herd of pigs quickly ran into the town and told the people everything that happened. They also told them about the things that happened to the two men who were possessed by the evil spirits.
34. Naím ẹ́vríbọ́di fọ di taun kọ́n kọmọ́t gó mít Jízọs. Wẹ́n dẹm sí Am, dẹm bẹ́g Am mék I frọm dẹm éria kọmọt.
34. So everybody from the town came out to meet Jesus. When they saw Him, they begged Him to leave their region.
