MATTHEW CHAPTER 7
Jízọs Tọ́k Sé, Mék Pípul Nọ́ de Jọ́j Ọ́dá Pípul
Jesus Says We Should Not Judge Other People
(Vas 1-6)
(Verses 1-6)
(Luk 6:37-38, 41-42)
(Luke 6:37-38, 41-42)
1. “Mék una nọ́ de jọ́j ọ́dá pípul, só dat Gọd nọ́ go jọ́j una.
1. “Do not judge other people, so that God will not judge you.
2. Dis na sékọf sé, na as una ték jọ́j ọ́dá pípul, na so Gọd go ték jọ́j una tuu. An as una dú ọ́dá pípul, na so Gọd go dú una tuu.
2. Because God will judge you in the same way you judge other people. And He will treat you the same way you treat other people.
3. Wétín mék yu de sí di smọ́l dọtí wé dé yọ brọ́da ai, bọt yu nọ́ de wọ́rí abaut di bíg wud wé dé yọ ón ai?
3. Why do you see the small piece of dirt in your fellow believer’s eye, but you are not concerned about the big piece of wood that is in your own eye?
4. Na haú yu go tẹ́l yọ brọ́da sé, ‘Mék a kọmọ́t di smọ́l dọtí wé dé yọ ai,’ wẹ́n bíg wud dé yọ ón ai?
4. Now how can you say to your fellow believer, ‘Let me take the small piece of dirt out of your eye,’ when there is a big piece of wood in your own eye?
5. Yu bi tuú-fés pẹ́sin! Yu mọsto fẹ́st kọmọ́t di bíg wud wé dé yọ ón ai. Naím yu go fít sí wẹ́l wẹl to kọmọ́t di smọ́l dọtí wé dé yọ brọ́da ai.
5. You hypocrite! You must first take the big piece of wood out of your own eye, then you will be able to see clearly to take the small piece of dirt out of your fellow believer’s eye.
6. Mék una nọ́ gív dọg-dẹm sọ́mtin wé bilọ́ng to Gọd. An mék una nọ́ kárí una kọ́slí faín bid-dẹm wé dẹm de kọ́l ‘pẹ́al’ ték trowé fọ pig-dẹm frọnt. Íf una dú am, di pig-dẹm go jọ́s ték lẹg mach mách di pẹ́al-dẹm. An di dọg-dẹm go tọ́n an tia tiá una to písis.
6. Do not give to dogs holy things set apart to God. And do not throw your pearls, before pigs. If you do, the pigs will only trample them under their feet. And the dogs will turn and tear you into pieces.
Jízọs Sé, Mék Wi de Áks Gọd fọ Wétín Wi Nid
Jesus Teaches to Ask God for What You Need
(Vas 7-12)
(Verses 7-12)
(Luk 11:9-13)
(Luke 11:9-13)
7. “Mék una kọntíniú to áks Gọd fọ wétín una nid, an Gọd go gív am to una. Mék una kọntíniú to lúk fọ wétín una nid, an Gọd go mék una faínd di tin. Mék una kọntíniú to nọ́k fọ Gọd Im dọọ, an Gọd go ópún am fọ una.
7. “Continue to ask God for what you need, and God will give it to you. Continue to look for what you need, and God will let you find it. Continue to knock on the door where God is, and God will open the door for you.
8. Dis na sékọf sé, ẹ́vrí pẹ́sin wé kọntíniú to áks Gọd fọ wétín di pẹ́sin nid, Gọd go gív am to am. An éníbọ́di wé kọntíniú to lúk fọ wétín i nid, Gọd go mék am faínd di tin. An Gọd go ópún dọọ fọ éníbọ́di wé kọntíniú to nọ́k fọ Gọd Im dọọ.
8. This is so because, every person who continues to ask God for what they need, God will give them what they ask for. And anyone who continues to look for what they need, God will let the person find it. And God will open the door for anyone who continues to knock on God’s door.
9. I gẹ́t éníbọ́di amọ́ng una wé im pikin go áks am fọ brẹd, an i go gív am ston?
9. Is there anyone among you whose child asks you for bread that you will give the child a stone?
10. Ọ íf im pikin áks am fọ fish, i go gív am snek?
10. Or if the child asks you for fish, would give the child a snake?
11. Íf una wé dé bad sabí haú to gív una pikin-dẹm gúd tins, dẹn Gọd, wé bi una Papá wé dé fọ hẹ́vun, dé rẹdí mọọ́ mọọ to gív gúd tins to pípul wé áks Am!
11. If you then, who are evil, know how to give your children good things, then God, who is your Father in heaven, is much more ready to give good things to those who ask Him!
12. “Sódiáfọ, mék una de dú fọ ọ́dá pípul énítin una wán mék dẹm dú fọ una. Dis na wétín di Lọ wé Gọd gív Mósis rílí min. An na wétín di tins wé Gọd prọ́fẹt-dẹm bin tich rílí min tuu.
12. “Therefore, do for other people whatever you want them to do for you. This is what the law which God gave Moses really means. And also, these are the real meaning of the things which the prophets taught.
Wétín Jízọs Tích Abaut di Smọ́l Get

13. “Mék una pás di smọ́l get ték ẹ́ntá ríl laif wé nọ́ de ẹ́vá ẹnd. Dis na sékọf sé di get wé pípul de pás ẹ́ntá hẹl dé big. Di rod fọ fọ́ló gó dia dé ízi. An plẹ́ntí pípul de fọ́ló dát rod ẹ́ntá dia.
13. “You must pass through the narrow gate to come in to receive real life which never ends. This is because the gate where people pass through to go into hell is wide. The road to follow to go there is easy. And a lot of people follow that road and enter there.
14. Bọt di get wé pípul de pás ẹ́ntá ríl laif wé nọ́ de ẹ́vá ẹnd dé smọl. An di rod fọ fọ́ló gó dia nọ́ dé ízi sámsám. Pípul wé de faínd dát rod nọ́ plẹntí.
14. But the gate where people pass through to receive real life that will never end is narrow. And the road to follow to go there is not easy at all. There are not a lot of people that find that road.

15. “Watch out for false prophets. They come to you looking like sheep on the outside. But on the inside, they are really vicious dangerous wolves.
16. You will know false prophets by what they do. People do not pluck grapes from thorny plants. And they do not pluck figs from thorny trees.
17. Fọ di sém wè, ẹ́vrí gúd trii de bẹá gúd frut. Bọt bád trii de bẹá bád frut.
17. In the same way every good tree bears good fruit. But a bad tree bears bad fruit.
18. Gúd trii nọ́ fít bẹá bád frut. An bád trii nọ́ fít bẹá gúd frut.
18. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit. And a bad tree cannot bear good fruit.
19. Ẹ́vrí trii wé nọ́ de bẹá gúd frut, na kọt dẹm go kọ́t am daun trowé am ínsaíd fáya.
19. Every tree that does not bear good fruit, is cut down and thrown into the fire.
20. Sódiáfọ, na wétín di lailaí prọ́fẹt-dẹm de du go mék una sabí dẹm.
20. Therefore, you will know the false prophets by what they do.

21. “Not everyone who calls me ‘Lord, Lord’, will become one of the people who God rules as King. The only people who will become people who God’s rules as King are those who do what God, who is My Father in heaven, wants them to do.
22. Fọ di dè wẹ́n Gọd go jọ́j ẹ́vríbọ́di, plẹ́ntí pípul go tẹ́l Mí sé, ‘Ọgá, Ọgá! Abí nọ́ bi Yọ nem wi yúz prích Gọd mẹ́sej? Nọ́ bi Yọ nem wi yúz draív bád spírit-dẹm kọmọ́t frọm ínsaíd pípul? An nọ́ bi Yọ nem wi yúz dú plẹ́ntí mírákul?’
22. On the day when God will judge everyone, many people will say to Me, ‘Lord, Lord! Was it not in Your name that we preached God’s message? Was it not in Your name that we drove out evil spirits from people? And was it not in Your name that we performed many miracles?’
23. Naím A go tẹ́l dẹm plén plen sé, ‘A nọ́ ẹ́vá nó una. Mék una kọmọ́t frọm wiá A dè. Una bi pípul wé de dú wíkẹ́d tins!’
23. Then I will say to them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Get away from Me. You are people who do wicked things!’

24. “Therefore, anyone who hears all these things that I say, and the person does them, that person is like a wise man who built his house on a rock.
25. Hẹ́ví ren fọl, wé mék ríva raíz ọp kọ́n kárí wọtá kọ́vá graun. Strọ́ng wind kọ́n blo an nak nák dát haus. Bọt di haus nó fọl, sékọf sé di man bíld am ọntọ́p rọk.
25. Heavy rain fell, the river rose and flooded the ground. Strong winds blew and beat against the house. But the house did not fall, because the man built the house on rock.

26. But anyone who hears all these things that I say, and the person does not do them, that person is like a foolish man who built his house on sand.
27. Hẹ́ví ren fọl, wé mék ríva raíz ọp kọ́n kárí wọtá kọ́vá graun. Strọ́ng wind kọ́n blo an nak nák dát haus. An di haus kọ́n fọl skátá fọ graun kpátákpátá.
27. Heavy rain fell, the river rose and flooded the ground. Strong winds blew and beat against the house. And the house fell down and was completely destroyed.

29. Dis na sékọf sé I tích dẹm laik pẹ́sin wé Imsẹf gẹ́t di rait to tích pípul tins. I nọ́ tích dẹm laik dẹm tícha-dẹm wé de tích pípul Mósis Lọ.
29. This was because He taught them like a person who Himself had authority. He did not teach them the same way as their teachers of the Law of Moses.
