(Mark 12:40; Luke 11:39-42, 44, 52; 20:47)
13. “Tins go bád wẹ́l wẹl fọ una wé bi tícha-dẹm wé de tích Gọd Lọ an una wé bi Fárisí pípul! Una bi tuú-fés pípul! Una de blọ́k pípul só dat dẹm nọ́ go bi pípul wé Gọd de rúl as King. Unasẹf nọ́ wán asẹ́pt Am as King, an una nọ́ go alaú pípul wé wán asẹ́pt Am mék dẹm dú so!
13. “How terrible it will be for you teachers of God’s Law and you Pharisees! You are hypocrites! You prevent other people from being people who God rules as King. You yourselves do not want to accept Him as King, and you won’t allow people who want to accept Him to do so!
14. [Tins go bád wẹ́l wẹl fọ una wé bi tícha-dẹm wé de tích Gọd Lọ an una wé bi Fárisí pípul! Una bi tuú-fés pípul! Una de yúz wayó wè ték kọlẹ́t haus-dẹm wé bilọ́ng to wímẹn wé dẹm họ́zban-dẹm dọ́n dai. Dẹn una go kọ́n de pré lọ́ng lọ́ng préya só dat pípul go sí una! 14. [How terrible it will be for you teachers of God’s Law and you Pharisees! You are hypocrites! You use deceitful ways to take away the houses of widows. Then you make long prayers so that people will see you! Therefore, God will punish you more severely than He will punish others!]
15. Tins go bád wẹ́l wẹl fọ una wé bi tícha-dẹm wé de tích Gọd Lọ an una wé bi Fárisí pípul! Una bi tuú-fés pípul! Una de trávúl gó ẹ́vríwia jọ́s to mék wọ́n pẹ́sin mék i jọín una rilíjọn! An áftá di pẹ́sin dọ́n jọín, una go kọ́n mék am mék i bikọ́m pẹ́sin wé dẹm sọpóz pọ́nísh ínsaíd hẹl tuú taim pás as dẹm sọpóz pọ́nísh una!
15. How terrible it will be for you teachers of God’s Law and you Pharisees! You are hypocrites! You travel around everywhere just to make one person join your religion! And after the person has joined, you make him become twice as deserving punishment in hell as you!
16. Tins go bád wẹ́l wẹl fọ una wé bi blaín pípul wé de traí shó ọ́dá pípul rod! Una de sé, ‘Íf pẹ́sin ték Gọd-Haus swiá sé i go dú sọ́mtin, dát wọn nọ́ mín sé di pẹ́sin mọsto dú wétín i swiá sé i go du. Bọt íf di pẹ́sin ték di gold wé dé ínsaíd Gọd-Haus ték swia, dẹn di pẹ́sin mọsto dú wétín i swiá sé i go du!’
16. How terrible it will be for you blind people who try to show other people the way! You say, ‘If someone swears by God’s House that he will do something, it does not mean the person must do what he swore that he will do. But if the person swears by the gold that is in God’s House, then the person must do what he swore that he will do!’
17. Una bi fúlísh blaín pípul! Na wích wọn impọ́tánt pas? Abí na di gold ọ na Gọd-Haus wé mék di gold mék i dé holí?
17. You are blind fools! Which one is more important? Is it the gold or God’s House that makes the gold holy?
18. An una de tẹ́l pípul sé, ‘Íf pẹ́sin ték di ọ́lta swiá sé i go dú sọ́mtin, dát wọn nọ́ mín sé di pẹ́sin mọsto dú wétín i swiá sé i go du. Bọt íf di pẹ́sin ték di gift wé dé ọntọ́p di ọ́lta ték swiá sé i go dú sọ́mtin, dẹn di pẹ́sin mọsto dú wétín i swiá sé i go du!’
18. And you say to people, ‘If someone swears by the altar that he will do something, it does not mean the person must do what he swore that he will do. But if the person swears by the gift that is on the altar, then the person must do what he swore that he will do!’
19. Una bi blaín pípul! Na wích wọn impọ́tánt pas? Abí na di gift ọ na di ọ́lta wé mék di gift mék i dé holí?
19. You are blind people! Which one is more important? Is it the gift or the altar that makes the gift holy?
20. Sódiáfọ, éníbọ́di wé ték di ọ́lta swia, na di ọ́lta an ẹ́vrítin wé dé ọntọ́p di ọ́lta, na dẹ́m di pẹ́sin ték swia.
20. So, anyone who swears by the altar, it is the altar and everything on the altar, that the person swears by.
21. An éníbọ́di wé ték Gọd-Haus swia, na Gọd-Haus an Gọd wé de lív ínsaíd di haus, na dẹ́m di pẹ́sin ték swia.
21. And anyone who swears by God’s House, it is God’s House and God who lives in the house, that the person swears by.
22. Éníbọ́di wé ték hẹ́vun swia, na Gọd Im kíng-chia an Gọd wé sidọ́n fọ di kíng-chia, na dẹ́m di pẹ́sin ték swia.
22. Anyone who swears by heaven, it is God’s throne and God who sits on the throne, that the person swears by.
23. Tins go bád wẹ́l wẹl fọ una wé bi tícha-dẹm wé de tích Gọd Lọ an una wé bi Fárisí pípul! Una bi tuú-fés pípul! Una de gív Gọd wọ́n pat aút ọf ẹ́vrí tẹ́n pát ọf ẹ́vrítin wé una gẹt. Una de ívún gív Gọd wọ́n pat aút ọf ẹ́vrí tẹ́n pát ọf di plant-dẹm wé una de ték mék fud mék i swit. Dis na plant-dẹm laik mint, dil, an kúmin. Una de gív Gọd dís tins, bọt una nọ́ de kiá abaut di mọọ́ impọ́tánt tins wé Gọd Lọ sé mék una de du. Di mọọ́ impọ́tánt tins bi tins laik: mék una de trít pípul fọ wè-dẹm wé dé kọrẹt fọ Gọd ai, mék una de sọ́rí fọ pípul, an mék una dé stẹ́di de dú ẹ́vrítin wé Gọd wán mék una du. Una mọsto dú dís mọọ́ impọ́tánt tins. An una mọsto kọntíniú to dú dís ọ́dá tins tuu.
23. How terrible it will be for you teachers of God’s Law and you Pharisees! You are hypocrites! You give God a tenth of everything that you own. You even give God one tenth of the herbs you use for seasoning food. These are herbs such as mint, dill, and cummin. You give God these things, but you ignore the more important things that God’s Law says you must do. The more important things such as: being fair to people, showing mercy, and faithfully doing everything God wants you to do. You should do these more important things. And you must also continue to do those other things.
24. Una bi blaín pípul wé de traí shó ọ́dá pípul rod! Una de ték taim kọmọ́t smọ́l flai frọm una drink, bọt una de swáló wọ́n bíg ánímal wé dẹm de kọ́l ‘kámẹl!
24. You are blind people who are trying to show other people the way! You take the time to strain out a small fly from your drink, but you swallow a camel!
25. Tins go bád wẹ́l wẹl fọ una wé bi tícha-dẹm wé de tích Gọd Lọ an una wé bi Fárisí pípul! Una bi tuú-fés pípul. Una de klín di bák ọf una kọp an una plet. Bọt di tins wé fúl ínsaíd dẹm na tins wé una yúz fọs ték frọm ọ́dá pípul, an tins wé una gẹt sékọf sé una de dú tins wé de mék ónlí unasẹf hapí.
25. How terrible it will be for you teachers of God’s Law and you Pharisees! You are hypocrites! You clean the outside of the cup and plate. But inside, they are filled with things you have taken by force from others and things you got by pleasing only yourselves.
26. Yu bi blaín Fárisí pẹ́sin! Mék yu fẹ́st klín di ínsaíd ọf di kọp, an dẹn di bak go dé klin tuu!
26. You blind Pharisee! First clean the inside of the cup, and then the outside of it will also be clean!
27. Tins go bád wẹ́l wẹl fọ una wé bi tícha-dẹm wé de tích Gọd Lọ an una wé bi Fárisí pípul! Una bi tuú-fés pípul! Una bí laik grev wé dẹm yúz waít pent ték pént am. Di grev lúk fain fọ aúsaid. Bọt na bón ọf pípul wé dọ́n dai an ọ́l kaín yamayámá tins fúl ínsaid.
27. How terrible it will be for you teachers of God’s Law and you Pharisees! You are hypocrites! You are like tombs that are painted white. They look beautiful on the outside. But on the inside, they are full of the bones of dead people, and all kinds of rotten things.
28. Na so una bì tuu. Fọ aúsaid, pípul de sí una as pípul wé de dú wétín Gọd want. Bọt fọ ínsaíd una hat, una rílí bi tuú-fés pípul an una de sósó dú wíkẹ́d tins.
28. That’s how you are too. On the outside, people see you as people who do what God wants. But inside your hearts, you are full of hypocrisy, and you are always doing evil things.

God Will Punish the Teachers of the Law and the Pharisees

(Verses 29-36)
(Luk 11:47-51)
(Luke 11:47-51)
29. Tins go bád wẹ́l wẹl fọ una wé bi tícha-dẹm wé de tích Gọd Lọ an una wé bi Fárisí pípul! Una bi tuú-fés pípul! Una de bíld faín grev fọ prọ́fẹt-dẹm wé dọ́n dai. An fọ ọ́dá pípul wé bin dú wétín Gọd want, una de mék di ples wiá dẹm bẹ́rí dẹm mék i faín wẹ́l wẹl.
29. How terrible it will be for you teachers of God’s Law and you Pharisees! You are hypocrites! You build fine tombs for the prophets who have died. And for other people who did what God wanted, you make their tombs to be beautiful.
30. Dẹn una de sé, ‘Íf to sé wi bin dé fọ awa papá-papá-dẹm taim, wi nó fọ hẹ́lẹ́p dẹm kíl di prọ́fẹt-dẹm.’
30. Then you say, ‘If we had lived in the time of our ancestors, we would not have helped them kill the prophets.’
31. Sódiáfọ, una de grí sé una bi pikin-pikin-dẹm ọf di pípul wé kíl di prọ́fẹt-dẹm!
31. So, you are admitting that you are the descendants of the people who killed the prophets!
32. So, mék una kúkúmá fínísh wétín una papá-papá-dẹm stat!
32. Go ahead then, and finish what your ancestors started!
33. Una bi snek! Una bi pikin-dẹm ọf snek-dẹm wé gẹ́t pọízin! Na haú una go fít ẹskep só dat Gọd nọ́ go pọ́nísh una fọ hẹl?
33. You are snakes! You are children of poisonous snakes! How can you escape so that God will not punish you in hell?
34. Sódiáfọ, A de tẹ́l una sé, A go sẹ́n prọ́fẹt-dẹm, an pípul wé gẹ́t sẹns, an tícha-dẹm to una. Una go kíl sọ́m ọf dẹm. Una go nél sọ́m ọf dẹm fọ krọs fọ ték kíl dẹm. Una go flọ́g sọ́m ọf dẹm fọ ínsaíd una preya-haus-dẹm. An una go pọshú dẹm frọm wọ́n taun gó anọ́dá taun.
34. So I tell you that I will send prophets, wise men, and teachers to you. You will kill some of them. You will nail some of them on crosses to kill them. You will whip some of them in your houses of prayer. And you will pursue them from town to town.
35. A go sẹ́n dís pípul só dat di blọ́d ọf ọ́l di gúd pípul wé bád pípul bin kíl fọ dís wọld go dé fọ una hẹd. Dis na stát frọm di blọ́d ọf Ébẹl wé bin dú wétín Gọd want, gó rích di blọ́d ọf Zakaráya wé bi Bẹrẹkáya pikin. Una wé bi Juu pípul bin kíl Zakaráya wẹ́n i dé bitwín di ínsaíd ínsaíd pát ọf Gọd-Haus an di ọ́lta.
35. I will send these people so that the blood of all the good people who bad people have killed in this world will fall on you. This is starting from the blood of Abel who did what God wanted, to the blood of Zechariah the son of Berechiah. You Jews murdered Zechariah between the inner part of God’s House and the altar.
36. A de tẹ́l una tru sé, Gọd go pọ́nísh una wé dé alaif nau. I go pọ́nísh una sékọf ọ́l di wíkẹ́d tins wé una an una papá-papá-dẹm dọ́n du!”
36. I tell you the truth, God will punish you people who are living now. He will punish you for all the wicked things you and your ancestors have done!”

37. “People of Jerusalem! O people of Jerusalem! You kill the prophets and stone the men that God sent to you! Many times I wanted to gather you around Me, just as a hen gathers her small chicks under her wings. But you would not let Me do it!
38. Si, Gọd dọ́n lív una haus fọ una, an di haus dé ẹ́mti kpátákpátá.
